Quick reference for judging ANSA events

· preference for ANSA Attire including ANSA Saddlecloth
· confirmation first and foremost
· good calm temperament and goes forward and light in hand with a straight gait
· an ANSA horse must be a comfortable riding horse
· must be ridden in a snaffle bit only
· no artificial aids
· a workout - the workout is to be in both directions at all paces

Best Presented ANSA Horse and Rider to be judged on the following:

· Conformation and suitability
· ANSA Attire, Saddlery and Presentation
· Rider's Ability
· Horse's Paces and Ability

ANSA Attire (competitors must wear at Royal Shows, and preference given at all other shows)

· ANSA Tie
· ANSA long sleeve shirt
· Approved head wear
· Fawn or light coloured stockman cut trousers or jodhpurs
· Riding boots (long or short)
· V-neck jumper or coat optional
· ANSA Saddlecloth
· Australian or English saddle
· Plain single bridle with snaffle bit
· No artificial aids
